- This book holds the answers people are looking for to have better relationships… All Relationships! Co-workers, in-laws, kids, clients…
- I’ve worked with Lori Carpenos as her client and I am thrilled that she has co-authored a new book on relationships. I can say that Lori is the real deal as a Three Principle therapist and author. The stories in this book make the principles come alive and give much needed guidance on a topic too often mired in confusion. This book is a little light for us in the serious path of love.
- I was very impressed with this book, “The Secret of Love,” co-authored by two accomplished therapists. I liked the way it was organized around real-life stories and had so many specific examples of relationship issues we all face. I think everyone should read this book, not just couples. It offers wonderful advice in an easy to understand way. Definitely recommend it as a “must read” for anyone in a relationship!
- The Secret of Love provides the reader with both a deepening of the understanding of the three principles with the reflections offered by the authors as well as real life stories to relate to the experiences and teachings. I have enjoyed every bit of it and took away new ways to see and hear those I love.
- An incredibly valuable demystifying of relationships, filled with hope. The authors describe how our minds work, and guide us in understanding each example. In this way they beautifully point to the common core of misunderstanding that underlies all relationships struggles.
- This book is exactly what was missing from my bookshelf. It continues to unfold a deep yet simplistic 3 Principles understanding of staying in a nicer present feeling & teaching others to do so as well. What a gift! Much aloha ☺️
- A courageous and insightful exploration into the mystery of love ~ very helpful! Thanks!
- This book was well written by two very experienced counselors. I found it very helpful, both personally and professionally as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
- Just love this book. Everyone should get one at home. Well written. Love the feel on the cover of the book.
- The Secret of Love confirms that love is a deep feeling inherent in all of us. As the beauty and logic of these stories show, the secret of love is hidden in plain sight. We often heard Syd Banks say “focus on ‘what is’ rather than ‘what isn’t’.” The accounts in this book certainly emphasize ‘what is.’ When we tap into love ,we are love. It is intrinsically contagious.
- The Secret of Love is a must read for anyone in any kind of relationship!
- This book’s secret IS love.
- I have to declare an interest in that I met Lori on a retreat in Peru. So taken with her innate beauty I decided to read her book. The individual stories of couples she and Christine have helped over the years, and of those with whom she has come into contact all have a thread running through them. Love.
- You can’t help but be touched and yes changed as you read how couples have discovered their own wisdom and inner beauty once pointed in the right direction.
- I would recommend this book to any marriage counselor or couple seeking to save their relationship.
- Simple secrets to greater relationships/ fabulous results
- If you think you have a good relationship with your partner and friends, read this book as it can get much better. As I read this book, I started to apply some of the seemingly simple ways of listening and I saw a change in myself and how my spouse/friends responded. Absolutely amazing. If this is what the authors are teaching, I am surprised that they have any clients left for therapy sessions after sharing these great approaches with their clients. I f you are like me, you spend more time and energy focused on material things around you instead of the things in you. This book, helps you focus on the important things in you that really makes a much bigger impact on your life.
- A Breakthrough for Couple Relationships!
- The Secret of Love is a gem for all who want to realize the best possible relationship! I thought I was simply reviewing another book. However, this new book had a powerful impact on my key relationship even as I was reading. The stories feature real people I am familiar with. What was new is the recounting and clarity of how they as ordinary people came to expose their own personal relationships from the lens of the three principles. The co-authors’ reflections are carefully and accurately aligned with the principles originally articulated by Syd Banks. In addition, the authors offer very important new “nugget” phrases and statements that I believe will stand the test of time. This book has the potential to become the global “go to book” for living, building, and restoring healthy, loving relationships. Couples, individuals and professionals have a block-buster new resource.!
- Real stories lead the reader to understand real solutions
- I really appreciate how this book is built from the stories told by clients in their own words. The authors are experienced marriage and family therapists, and their insights and commentary are helpful and meaningful, but the client stories inspire the readers with hope for finding peace and healthy resolutions to any relationship problems. The book shows us that, regardless of the resolution, it is always possible to act with wisdom born of love and understanding. I have already recommended this book to many of my clients.
- Christine Heath and Lori Carpenos are alike in their dedication to helping others with no thought of benefit to themselves. If money is an issue, like most 3 Principle practitioners, they chose people. Having known both on a personal and professional level for many years I can assure you, THIS BOOK WILL HELP. Chris’s Heath is one of the best therapists I have ever had the pleasure to work with and call a friend. Prior to knowing her my experience with observing therapists/counselors/mental health providers, results were hit or miss. Chris’s experiential knowledge of the Principles, her personality and mastery of creating teachable moments is a thing of beauty. This book is a wonderful way of experiencing Chris and Lori and the Principles.
- So liberating! Showing to an extreme, that love is available even in very difficult interactions.
- I was looking forward to this book by Lori and her co-writer for such a long time. She kindly gave me the book to edit before hand so I got a sneak preview and I literally ate it up.
- I have to declare an interest in that I met Lori on a retreat in Peru. So taken with her innate beauty I decided to read her book.
- The individual stories of couples she and Christine have helped over the years, and of those with whom she has come into contact all have a thread running through them. Love.
- You can’t help but be touched and yes changed as you read how couples have discovered their own wisdom and inner beauty once pointed in the right direction.
- I am a very big learner of the 3 principles by Sydney Banks, for many years so the ideas were not totally new to me. I didn’t have to believe what they wrote because I had already experienced it for myself. But reading more about it enhanced the ideas and made me find the love where i might have missed it.
- I can understand that readers not familiar with the principles or having never experienced anything remotely like this might dismiss this book and not realize the gold within. But please, give it a chance. ask others familiar with the principles to explain more about it and you might very well discover…the secret of love! A default setting which I believe is truly available much more than you might expect.
- A beautiful collection of stories to remind us to live in love and joy!
- This book is a collection of short stories by couples followed by reflections from the authors and sprinkled with profound quotes from the incomparable Sidney Banks. My husband and I have been reading it together and it has been so enlightening to hear stories of couples who have gone through similar issues as us and by understanding how the Principles is Mind, Thought, and Consciousness works, are living happier, healthier lives full of joy and love. The stories are relatable and concise. Easy to read a chapter or two with your partner before bed or in the morning and really get into a loving and peaceful state of mind for your day or dreams. 🙂
- Highly recommended for all couples!
- True stories, Profound message
- What moved me most about this book was the beautiful interweaving of Syd Banks’ message, in his own words, which appeared at the beginning of each chapter, with the honest and inspiring stories of real people who found the universal truth of this message within themselves, thus transforming their lives and relationships. Thanks to the authors for offering readers a chance to find deeper understanding, and for the many examples showing that true happiness is possible, when we start to get a feeling for the profound love lying within each one of us.
- I wish I had this information years ago!
- The Secret of Love is an incredible resource for anyone wishing to have better relationships. The life stories of other couples and families shed light on my own previous experiences. I wish I had this as a resource when I was struggling in my marriage and subsequent divorce. The Three Principles make so much sense to me. I will be sharing this book with many.
